GLOBAL ACADEMY WILL USE A HYBRID MODEL THIS FALL
Based on Governor Walz's school announcement, Global Academy will be able to use a hybrid model to start school this fall. The hybrid program we have developed includes the following:
Kindergarten, first and second grade students will be able to attend school in person EVERY DAY. We have hired additional teachers so that class sizes can be smaller and social distancing will be possible.
Students in Grades 3-8 will attend school IN PERSON two days per week. Students in these grades will VIRTUALLY attend classes through ZOOM the other three days per week. Class sizes will be smaller so that students at school can socially distance.
Parents have the option of keeping their students at home in a distance learning program if they do not want them to attend school in person.
ALL FAMILIES WILL BE SURVEYED BY PHONE THE WEEK OF AUGUST 3rd. PLEASE ANSWER CALLS FROM THE SCHOOL AND BE PREPARED TO ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS BY MONDAY, AUGUST 10th:
1. Would you like your children to participate in the hybrid or distance program at Global Academy?
2. Do you want bus transportation to the school?
(Note: This option is only available if you live within the school's transportation boundaries?)
A mailing was sent home on Friday, August 7th. Look for a video during the week of August 10th.
